Tutorial - Tetra IoT Agent Local Configuration

How to access TetraScience IoT agents' local configuration page

Introduction

Each Tetra IoT agent (agent) has a configuration page that can be very handy if you want to change agent settings like Ethernet or WiFi, or even restore factory settings. But how can you access this page? This tutorial will walk you through the different options.

🚧

Warning

Please consult with TetraScience customer support if you want to change settings. Please refrain from changing other settings without understanding the consequences, otherwise, the agent may operate in an unexpected way.

Two Options

There are two ways to access the local configuration page:

  • If the agent's IP is available to you, open your browser and enter the agent's IP in your browser's search bar to visit the configuration page (please make sure your computer is in the same network as the agent).
  • If the agent's IP is not available, you need to establish a local connection between your computer and the agent. Please follow the next section to configure your computer.

Visit Configuration Page via Local Connection

  • Follow Operating System Setups to configure your computer's Ethernet connection
  • Connect your computer with the agent's LAN port using an Ethernet cable
  • Open a browser window and type "192.168.101.204" in the search bar
  • You should be directed to the login page. The login credential is username: admin, password: admin

Operating System Setups

Please follow the steps suited for your computer's operating system to complete the setup. Although we only list four operating systems' configuration below, other operating systems will also work if the Ethernet adapter is set to use the same IP and subnet mask.
