v1.0.0
Release date: 24 October 2025
TetraScience has released its first general availability (GA) version of the Tetra Biacore Insight Connector, version 1.0.0. The Connector is a standalone, containerized application that uses the Pluggable Connector Framework to receive evaluation data from Cytiva Biacore Insight, and then augement the received data with a generated report point table before uploading it to the TDP.
Here are the details for what's new in Tetra Biacore Insight Connector v1.0.0.
New Functionality
New functionality includes features not previously available in the Tetra Biacore Insight Connector beta release version.
- Advanced path configurations for file filtering and labeling: Customers can now configure folder path prefixes, file name patterns (using glob pattern syntax), and custom labels to apply to matching files. When configured, only files matching at least one path configuration will be uploaded to the TDP. For more information, see Path Configurations in the Tetra Biacore Connector Operational Guide.
- New Manual Upload command: The new Manual Upload command (
TetraScience.Connector.BiacoreInsights.ManualUpload.v1) provides the ability to manually retrieve historical evaluation data within a specified time range through the TDP Command Service or the Connector Details page's Historical Data tab in the TDP user interface. For more information, see Custom Commands in the Tetra Biacore Connector Operational Guide. - SSL certificate validation configuration: Customers now have the option to disable Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificate validation for HTTPS connections to Biacore Insight servers. Disabling SSL certificate validation can be useful for environments with self-signed certificates or internal certificate authorities. For more information, see Configuration Parameters in the Tetra Biacore Connector Operational Guide.
Enhancements
Enhancements are modifications to existing functionality that improve performance or usability, but don't alter the function or intended use of the system.
- Comprehensive error handling with automatic recovery: The Connector now includes detailed error codes with automatic recovery from transient errors for the following failure scenarios:
- Authentication errors
- Network timeouts
- SSL certificate errors
- Folder search failures
- API errors
- New polling overlap mechanism to prevent data loss: Enhanced polling logic ensures no evaluation data is missed between polling intervals.
- Unique file key construction to prevent conflicts: Enhanced file key generation prevents conflicts when handling evaluation updates and versioning.
Bug fixes
- There are no bug fixes in this release.
Limitations
- There are no known limitations for Tetra Biacore Insight Connector v1.0.0.
Deprecated Features
There are no deprecated features in this release.
For more information about TDP deprecations, see Tetra Product Deprecation Notices.
Known and Possible Issues
There are no known issues for Tetra Biacore Insight Connector v1.0.0.
Upgrade Considerations
Customers can upgrade directly to Tetra Biacore Insight Connector v1.0.0 from v0.2.0.
You can deploy the Connector in the cloud or on-premises to either a Tetra Hub or as a containerized Standalone deployment.
IMPORTANTIn v0.2.0, the polling interval was displayed in minutes in the UI but actually processed in seconds by the code. v1.0.0 fixes this inconsistency - the polling interval now works in minutes as displayed. When upgrading from v0.2.0, verify your polling interval is set to the desired number of minutes (for example, 10 minutes instead of 600).
