Overview of Tasks

Based on your role and permission access level, you can:

Connect your data sources such as: Tetra Agents, Egnyte, Dotmatics, and IoT (Internet of Things)
View files in the Tetra Scientific Data Cloud and view some processing details
View the IDS and associated data schema files
Set up and monitor pipeline jobs and processing
Create custom pipelines (Self-Service Pipelines)
Search for and view your unprocessed and processed files and data in SQL tables
Perform administrative tasks such as: managing user accounts and organizational details, changing password policies, and enabling single sign-on (SSO)
Generate personal and service user JWT tokens
Manage metadata, set up shared settings, and secret information
View audit trail information
View artifacts in the system

Tetra Data Platform Page

After a successful sign in, Tetra Data Platform page displays.

The main menu for the Tetra Data Platform Search page is located along the left side of the page. By default, the list of icons representing the available menu items displays.

To expand the menu items, you can:

Hover over an icon to see the menu items, or
Click the top Hamburger Menu icon to fully expand and toggle the menu items to remain on the page. After clicking the Hamburger Menu icon, the icon changes to an X.

The menu items display based on your role and permission access level. This table provides a summary of each menu item (described from the top to the bottom).

Menu Item	Description
Hamburger Menu	Click this icon to expand the Tetra Data Platform (TDP) menu items available to you.
Organization	Displays the organization to which you belong. If you belong to more than one organization, you can click the organization to open a Search dialog. You can search organizations by slug or name. After you select an organization, the View IDS Types page displays showing the schema view.
Search Files	Enables you to search processed and unprocessed files that are in the Data Lake, view the metadata and contents, and apply filters to create complex searches and fine-tune queries.
SQL Search	Enables you to create and run SQL queries. You can also review table definition details.
Pipelines	Enables you to set up and manage pipelines. Click Pipelines to access its two subsections: File Processing and Pipeline Manager.
Artifacts	Enables you to view artifacts (RAW data files or digital objects) related to the pipeline protocols, including `protocol.json` (which provides information about steps and configurations) and script files.
Data Sources	Enables you to configure connections to various data sources, including any TetraScience Data Hubs that might reside in your organization. Click Data Sources to access several subsections, for example: Agents, Egnyte, Dotmatics, IoT, and others.
Health Monitoring	Enables you to access Health Monitoring dashboards to assess the health and performance of the TDP components: Agents, Data Hubs, Connectors, and Files.
View IDS Types	Enables you to view information about the various IDS (Intermediate Data Schema) types that are available in TDP. The View IDS Types page provides a filter and schema view of the data.
Attribute Management	Enables you to add, customize, and manage these file attributes: labels, metadata, and tags.
API Documentation	Click to access the TetraScience API documentation.
Account	Click Account to access any administrative options that may be available based on your specific user account role and privileges. For example, you may see: Account Details, Organizational Membership, Organization Details, SQL Access, Manage Organizations, and Audit Trail.
Sign Out	Click Sign Out to sign out of the Tetra Data Platform (TDP).
TetraScience Version	Displays the version of the Tetra Data Platform (TDP) next to the company logo.
