Tetra Integrations

You can use Tetra Integrations to automatically collect and send scientific data between different instruments and applications while centralizing that data in the Tetra Scientific Data and AI Cloud. You can then use Tetra Data models in your pipelines to automate data operations and transformations.

TetraScience provides bidirectional integrations for many instruments, Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELNs), Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), connectivity middleware, and data science tools.

For a list of available Tetra Integrations, see Supported Tetra Integrations. For more information and best practices, see Data Integration and Deployment Architecture in the TetraConnect Hub. For access, see Access the TetraConnect Hub.

Integration Components

Three types of technical components support Tetra Integrations:

  • Tetra Agents: Windows-based, on-premises applications that integrate with specific data sources or targets
  • Tetra Connectors: Containerized cloud or on-premises applications that integrate with a specific data source or target
  • Tetra Data Pipelines: Packages of programmed instructions that indicate the actions to take when new data meets preconfigured trigger conditions

Your organization’s instruments and software determine the integration components that you use. Agents, Connectors, and pipelines provide similar functionality—only their underlying technologies are different.

Integration Deployment Options
