Tetra Cellario Connector v2.x Release Notes

The following are the Tetra Cellario Connector v2.x release notes.

v2.1.0

Release date: 2 December 2024

What's New

TetraScience has released its next version of the Tetra Cellario Connector, version 2.1.0. This release focuses on making it easier for customers to migrate from their existing, legacy Tetra Cellario Connector v1s to the new Tetra Cellario Connector v2, which uses the Pluggable Connector framework.

New Functionality

New Functionality includes features not previously available in the Tetra Cellario Connector.

  • The Connector can now be configured to use a destination ID instead of the Connector's own ID when constructing the file paths that it writes to. This new functionality allows customers to upgrade to a new Connector version while preserving the same file path prefix.
  • The Connector supports a new command to import Cellario events previously polled by an earlier Connector version. This command is intended specifically for migration, and so is not documented for general use. For more information, customers should contact their customer success manager (CSM) or account executive.

Enhancements

Enhancements are modifications to existing functionality that improve performance or usability, but don't alter the function or intended use of the system.

  • The Connector now has a configuration toggle that allows customers to choose whether the file path pattern should match the pattern from their legacy Connector v1, or Connector v2.

Bug Fixes

The following bugs are now fixed:

  • The Connector now continues to honor its disable TLS verification configuration option, even when behind a proxy.
  • The Connector no longer fails to insert values for Cellario version information labels after being disabled and re-enabled.

Deprecated Features

There are no new deprecated features in this release. For more information about TDP deprecations, see Tetra Product Deprecation Notices.

Known and Possible Issues

There are no new known and possible issues in this release.

Security

Various security updates were applied.

Upgrade Considerations

This version of the Tetra Cellario Connector is compatible as a direct upgrade from Tetra Cellario Connector v2.0.0 and must be used with TDP v3.6 or higher.

To install or upgrade to Tetra Cellario Connector v2.1.0, see the Tetra Cellario Connector v2 Operational Guide.

v2.0.0

Release date: 04 December 2023

What's New

TetraScience has released its next version of the Tetra HRB Cellario Connector, version 2.0.0. This version uses the Pluggable Connector Framework to streamline the Connector’s life cycle. It also includes a new Manual Upload feature along with several other new functionalities.

New Functionality

New Functionality includes features not previously available in the Tetra Data Platform (TDP) or Tetra Cellario Connector.

  • The new Pluggable Connector Framework now makes the Connector a standalone, containerized application.
  • A new Manual Upload feature now allows customers to upload historical data within a specified time range. For more information, see Manual Upload in the Connector documentation.
  • HRB Cellario versions are now included as metadata for files uploaded to the TDP.
  • Self-signed or private Secure Sockets Layer/Transport Layer Security (SSL/TLS) certificates used by local systems are also now supported. For more information, see Manage Self-Signed and Private SSL/TLS Certificates for Pluggable Connectors.

Enhancements

Enhancements are modifications to existing functionality that improve performance or usability, but don't alter the function or intended use of the system.

  • There are no new enhancements in this release.

Bug Fixes

No bugs were fixed in this release.

Deprecated Features

The following feature has been deprecated in the Tetra Cellario Connector v2.0.0 release:

  • The Upload event bundles option will no longer be available starting with Tetra Cellario Connector v2. The feature was used to test and troubleshoot Cellario connectivity and data upload. New features available in the latest Connector version make this option unnecessary.

For more information about TDP deprecations, see Tetra Product Deprecation Notices.

Known and Possible Issues

  • When processing a backlog of files from Cellario, a newly initialized Connector may fail to record the Cellario API version or assembly version in the files that are uploaded to the TDP. A fix for this issue is in development and testing and is scheduled for a future release.

Security

Various security updates were applied.

Upgrade Considerations

This version of the Tetra Cellario Connector is compatible as a direct upgrade from Tetra Cellario Connector v1.x and must be used with TDP v3.6.
