Tetra Data Hub
The Tetra Data Hub is the on-premise software component of the Tetra Data Platform (TDP). It facilitates secure data transfer to the Tetra Data Platform (TDP) through configurations called Data Connectors. Each data connector is responsible for pulling or receiving data from a single data source in your environment. A single Tetra Data Hub may contain multiple data connectors.
TetraScience provides a pre-configured Tetra Data Hub installer for you to install on a machine or virtual machine (VM) on your network. Once installed, the Tetra Data Hub will automatically activate with the TDP, and you can configure it through the TDP user interface
The Tetra Data Hub uses AWS services such as: Systems Manager and AWS IoT. The Tetra Data Hub periodically retrieves new instructions and configuration from the TDP. The Tetra Data Hub downloads and runs data connectors based on the configurations you specified in the TDP user interface from your account.
The Tetra Data Hub automatically starts when the host server restarts.
NOTE
The new Tetra Hub provides the option to release new functionalities or patches without needing to upgrade the entire TDP, which can help reduce overhead and accelerate implementation. Tetra Hub sunsets the use of the Tetra Data Hub and the Tetra Generic Data Connector (GDC), simplifying deployment.
Tetra Hub is in beta release currently and may require changes in future TDP releases. For more information, contact your customer success manager.
