The Tetra Data Platform has several Agents that aggregate and transfer source data to the platform (which includes the Tetra Data Lake.) An Agent can be a custom application built on a Software SDK, such as the Empower ToolKit or UNICORN OPC. A Tetra Agent can also work as a dropbox that houses client data files in various formats such as CSV, Excel, PDF, or an email message.
The Agent converts the data files to RAW JSON format. The RAW JSON files are then uploaded to the Tetra Data Platform, which can be later processed by a pipeline, and then be translated into an Intermediate Data Schema (IDS). These can be integrated with downstream analytics data visualization tools, such as Spotfire, Power BI, or Tableau, as well as data science tools such as Jupyter Notebook.
There are two types of deployments that the Tetra Agent supports:
On-Premise: The customer requires an on-premise deployment of a Tetra Agent and an on-premise DataHub/Data Connector.
Tetra Data Platform: TetraScience agents can upload source data directly to Tetra Data Platform with a User-Defined Integration.
Available Tetra Agents are listed in the table below.
Tetra Chromeleon Agent
High-performance Windows-based solution built on the Thermo Fisher Chromeleon 7 SDK to extract injections and associated data (e.g. Spectral, Peak, Sequence, Audit Trial) from Thermo Chromeleon 7.
Tetra Empower Agent
High-performance, Microsoft Windows-based solution built upon Empower 3 Toolkit to extract data from Waters Empower 3.
Tetra File-Log Agent
High speed, instrument-agnostic agent that detects the changes of file-based outputs generated from instruments. It requires either a Tetra Generic Data Connector (GDC) installed on a DataHub or a User Defined Integration (UDI) for file uploads.
Tetra IoT Agent
Supports IoT devices and applications.
Tetra LabX Agent
Windows-based application that accesses LabX integration service, extract Task and its related data.
Tetra UNICORN Agent
High-performance Window Application that acquires AKTA batch data through UNICORN OPC HDA Service and detects the Alarm and Events generated from UNICORN in real time.
