When a new version of the IoT Layer is released, it is made available to clients in AWS Service Catalog. This topic explains how to perform an upgrade.

Keep in mind that every version must be installed incrementally and minor versions must not be skipped.

Upgrade Steps

To upgrade, complete the following steps.

1. In the AWS console, go to Service Catalog → Provisioned products.
2. Click on the iot-layer. Take note of the current version.
3. Click Action → Update.
4. Select the next version (major or minor) available from the Product versions list.
5. Click Update.
6. Wait for Status to become Available.
