TetraScience AI Services UI v2.4.x Release Notes

Release notes for the TetraScience AI Services user interface (ai-platform) versions 2.4.x

The following are the release notes for the TetraScience AI Services user interface (the ai-platform application) versions 2.4.x. The AI Services user interface is the AI Services page in the Tetra Data Platform (TDP), and is versioned and updated separately from the AI Services backend. For AI Services backend release notes, see TetraScience AI Services Release Notes.

📘

NOTE

TetraScience AI Services are currently part of a limited availability release and must be activated in coordination with TetraScience along with related consuming applications. For more information, contact your customer account leader.

v2.4.1

Release date: 4 November 2026

Version 2.4.1 of the TetraScience AI Services user interface lets you browse and upload Supporting Files for Scientific AI Workflows that run Bring Your Own Model (BYOM) on the AI Runtime. Supporting Files for all other workflows work as they did in v2.4.0.

Here are the details for what's new in the TetraScience AI Services user interface v2.4.1.

Prerequisites

The TetraScience AI Services user interface v2.4.1 requires the following:

New Functionality

There is no new functionality in this release.

Enhancements

Enhancements are modifications to existing functionality that improve performance or usability, but don't alter the function or intended use of the system.

  • Supporting Files for Bring Your Own Model on the AI Runtime: For an installed workflow that runs on the AI Runtime, the Upload Supporting Files page now browses and uploads files in the AI Runtime's storage, in the Weights and Inference input folders. The page also shows a storage summary: where the files will be stored, and the catalog and schema recorded for the installation. Bring Your Own Model on the AI Runtime is a beta release. To get access, contact your customer account leader.

Bug Fixes

There are no bug fixes in this release.

Deprecated Features

There are no deprecated features in this release. For more information about Tetra Platform deprecations, see Tetra Product Deprecation Notices.

Known and Possible Issues

📘

NOTE

No new known issues were introduced in this release. The known issues listed below were also present in previous versions.

The following are known limitations of the TetraScience AI Services user interface v2.4.1:

  • Model Card Deep Link on Earlier TDP Versions: On TDP versions earlier than v4.6.1, opening an AI Workflow details page with a modelCard=1 deep link opens the Model Card dialog with the message "This version does not include a MODEL_CARD.md. Ask the model owner to publish one with the artifact." The workflow version may in fact include one; earlier TDP versions can't serve model card files. Confirm that your TDP organization runs v4.6.1 or later before concluding that a workflow version has no model card.
  • Supporting Files Upload on TDP Versions Earlier than v4.6.0: On TDP versions earlier than v4.6.0, the browser can block uploads from the Upload Supporting Files page with a cross-origin (CORS) error. The CORS error was fixed in Tetra Platform v4.6.0. On earlier TDP versions, upload Supporting Files by using the AI Services API directly.

Upgrade Considerations

To update the AI Services user interface version for your TDP organization, see Update the AI Services UI Version in the TetraScience AI Services User Guide.

Supporting Files on the AI Runtime requires AI Services v1.4.1 or later on your TDP organization.

After the update, verify the following:

  • The AI Services page loads and displays correctly in both the dark and light TDP modes
  • Installed Scientific AI Workflows appear with the expected namespace, version, and status
  • For workflows that run on the AI Runtime, the Upload Supporting Files page shows the storage summary, and uploads to the Weights and Inference input folders complete
  • For all other workflows, browsing and uploading Supporting Files works as it did in v2.4.0
  • Inference requests submitted from the page complete successfully

GxP Impact Assessment

All new TetraScience AI Services functionalities go through a GxP impact assessment to determine validation needs for GxP installations.

Enhancements and Bug Fixes do not generally affect Intended Use for validation purposes.

TetraScience AI Services is currently a limited availability release. Bring Your Own Model on the AI Runtime is a beta release. Items marked as either a beta release or a limited availability release are not validated for GxP by TetraScience. However, customers can use these prerelease features and components in production if they perform their own validation.

v2.4.0

Release date: 30 October 2026

TetraScience has released version 2.4.0 of the TetraScience AI Services user interface. This release adds Model Cards to the AI Workflow details page, so you can read a Scientific AI Workflow's intended use, training data, evaluation results, and known limitations directly in the TDP—before you decide whether to install the workflow.

Here are the details for what's new in the TetraScience AI Services user interface v2.4.0.

Prerequisites

The TetraScience AI Services user interface v2.4.0 requires the following:

  • Tetra Data Platform (TDP) v4.5.3 or later. The Model Card functionality requires TDP v4.6.1 or later; earlier TDP versions don't serve model card files.
  • A Scientific AI Workflow artifact version that includes a MODEL_CARD.md file. Upgrading the TDP and the AI Services UI doesn't add model card content to workflow versions that were published without it.

New Functionality

New functionality includes features not previously available in the TetraScience AI Services user interface.

Model Cards for Scientific AI Workflows

The AI Workflow details page now includes a Model Card link in the Metadata section. Selecting the link opens a dialog that displays the workflow version's model card: the MODEL_CARD.md file that the workflow's publisher includes in the artifact bundle. Previously, the TDP provided no way to review a Scientific AI Workflow's model documentation, so evaluating a model for a regulated use case required requesting that information outside the platform.

By convention, a model card describes the following, in order:

  • Intended use
  • Training data
  • Evaluation methodology and metrics
  • Known limitations, risks, and constraints

The dialog renders the model card as formatted markdown, including tables, lists, code blocks, and embedded images such as architecture diagrams, evaluation curves, and confusion matrices.

The Model Card link is available both before and after you install a workflow, so you can review a model card while deciding whether to install the workflow. The dialog is also deep-linkable: while it's open, the page URL includes a modelCard=1 query parameter, so reviewers can copy the URL to share a link that opens a specific version's model card directly.

For more information, see View a Scientific AI Workflow Model Card in the TetraScience AI Services User Guide.

📘

NOTE

Model cards are supplied by the workflow's publisher, not generated by the TDP. When a workflow version doesn't include a MODEL_CARD.md file, the Model Card link doesn't appear for that version. The TDP doesn't display any other file, such as the artifact's README.md, in its place.

Known and Possible Issues

  • Model Card Deep Link on Earlier TDP Versions: On TDP versions earlier than v4.6.1, opening an AI Workflow details page with a modelCard=1 deep link opens the Model Card dialog with the message "This version does not include a MODEL_CARD.md. Confirm that your TDP organization runs v4.6.1 or later before concluding that a workflow version has no model card.
  • Model Training UI Upload Failure: The Upload Supporting Files button in the AI Services UI does not work for model training workflows. As a workaround, upload model training files and initiate model training by using the AI Services API directly.

Upgrade Considerations

To update the AI Services user interface version for your TDP organization, see Update the AI Services UI Version in the TetraScience AI Services User Guide.

Before updating, confirm that your TDP organization runs TDP v4.5.3 or later. To use the Model Card functionality, your TDP organization must run TDP v4.6.1 or later.

After the update, verify the following:

  • The AI Services page loads and displays correctly in both the dark and light TDP modes
  • Installed Scientific AI Workflows appear with the expected namespace, version, and status
  • The Model Card link appears in the Metadata section of the AI Workflow details page for workflow versions that include a MODEL_CARD.md file, and the dialog displays the model card's text and images
  • Installing, uninstalling, activating, and cancelling workflow versions completes successfully
  • Inference requests submitted from the page complete successfully
