Beta Release v0.1.0
Release date: 19 November 2025
TetraScience has released its first beta release version of the Tetra Egnyte Connector v2, Beta Release v0.1.0. The Connector is a standalone, containerized application that uses the Pluggable Connector Framework to monitor Egnyte software folders for new and modified files, and then upload them to the TDP.
Prerequisites
Tetra Egnyte Connector v2 Beta Release v0.1.0 requires the following:
- Active Egnyte account
- A valid client ID and client secret for an app defined in your Egnyte developer portal (contact your customer account leader for assistance in setting this up)
- Access to an Egnyte login with sufficient permissions to ingest files
New Functionality
New functionality includes features not previously available in the Tetra Egnyte Connector:
- The new Pluggable Connector Framework now makes the Connector a standalone, containerized application.
- The Connector provides a custom tab to support OAuth authentication with Egnyte.
- The Connector monitors Egnyte's events API for file creation and modification events. When the Connector detects these events, it retrieves the file from Egnyte and uploads it to the TDP.
- The Connector can optionally be configured to monitor multiple specific folders in Egnyte and apply distinct labels to files uploaded from each folder.
- If no paths are specified, all files in Egnyte are monitored.
- Paths can also have an associated glob pattern to check against filenames.
- Paths are searched recursively—all subfolders are included.
- If a file matches multiple paths, labels from all paths are merged and applied.
- For a given path, the Connector can operate in metadata-only mode. In this mode, the Connector uploads a
.index.jsonfile containing file info from Egnyte rather than the full contents of the file itself. This mode is useful for monitoring large files that don't need to be ingested into the TDP.
