The following are the release notes for Artifact Version Manager versions 1.1.x. The Artifact Version Manager provides a unified interface for managing, reviewing, and approving versioned artifacts across Tetra environments.

TetraScience has released version 1.1.0 of the Artifact Version Manager. This release rebuilds the Artifact Version Manager page on the shared TetraScience user interface component library, which adds dark and light mode support and aligns the page's appearance with the rest of Tetra. It also compacts the page header, keeps requests working when a session token expires, and fixes the version links for the Semantic Management and Data Modeling Platform Apps.

Here are the details for what's new in Artifact Version Manager v1.1.0.

Prerequisites

Artifact Version Manager v1.1.0 requires the following:

• Tetra v4.5.3 or later
• Artifact Version Manager activated for your organization
• A Tetra user account with Admin permissions

New Functionality

New functionality includes features not previously available in the Artifact Version Manager.

Dark and Light Mode Support

The Artifact Version Manager page now supports both dark and light modes and follows the mode selected for your organization. Previously, the page's mode styling depended on the internal markup of its underlying component library and didn't render reliably in either mode. Page and button colors now also meet WCAG contrast requirements.

On Tetra v4.6.0 and later, the dark mode banner that warned that the Artifact Version Manager didn't support dark mode no longer appears for organizations running Artifact Version Manager v1.1.0.

Enhancements

Enhancements are modifications to existing functionality that improve performance or usability, but don't alter the function or intended use of the system.

Consistent Appearance with the Rest of Tetra

The Artifact Version Manager page is now built on the shared TetraScience user interface component library that other Tetra pages use. Buttons, cards, modals, tables, breadcrumbs, and the version table on the page now match their equivalents elsewhere in Tetra, so the page's colors, spacing, and interaction behavior stay consistent as the Tetra interface evolves. This change is visual only: no Artifact Version Manager workflows, actions, or permissions changed.

Compact Page Header

The page title, breadcrumb trail, service version information, page actions, and version controls now occupy a single row at the top of the page, instead of three stacked rows. More artifacts are visible without scrolling, and page content is inset from the edges of the page. On Tetra v4.7.0 and later, the Artifact Version Manager draws its own page title; on earlier versions, Tetra continues to draw the title as before.

Session Continuity

When your Tetra session token expires while the Artifact Version Manager page is open, the page now renews the token and completes the request instead of failing it. If the token can't be renewed, you're signed out and returned to the sign-in page.

In-Page Error Message on Unexpected Errors

If the Artifact Version Manager encounters an unexpected error, the page now displays an error message with a link back to the Tetra home page, instead of showing a blank page. These errors are also reported to TetraScience with the application name and version, which shortens support investigations.

Bug Fixes

The following bugs are now fixed:

• Selecting a Semantic Management version in the Artifact Version Manager now opens that version of the Semantic Management page. Previously, the link returned a Page Not Found error.
• Selecting a Data Modeling version in the Artifact Version Manager now opens that version of the Data Modeling page. Previously, the link went to a location that doesn't exist.
• The Artifact Version Manager page now displays the Cancel Version button in red, active buttons with their standard colors, and modal titles at a size that doesn't overlap the close icon. Extra blank space around the breadcrumb trail and artifact cards was also removed.
• Activating, cancelling, or setting a default version for a Platform App no longer causes display issues on other Tetra pages. Previously, after one of those actions, filter and sort controls and button labels on pages such as Pipelines, Search, and Health Monitoring could render incorrectly until the browser was refreshed.

Deprecated Features

Upgrade Considerations

The Artifact Version Manager is currently part of a limited availability release. To activate it in your environment, see Activate Artifact Version Manager.

Before you upgrade, verify that your organization runs Tetra v4.5.3 or later.

To switch your organization to v1.1.0 after the Artifact Version Manager is activated, see Upgrade or Switch Versions.

After the upgrade, verify the following:

• The Artifact Version Manager page loads and displays correctly in both dark and light modes
• Available artifacts appear with the expected current version, newest version, and review status
• Selecting an artifact version opens that version of the artifact
• Activating, cancelling, and setting a default artifact version completes successfully

GxP Impact Assessment

All new Artifact Version Manager functionalities go through a GxP impact assessment to determine validation needs for GxP installations.

Enhancements and Bug Fixes do not generally affect Intended Use for validation purposes.

The Artifact Version Manager is currently a limited availability release. Items marked as either a beta release or a limited availability release are not validated for GxP by TetraScience. However, customers can use these prerelease features and components in production if they perform their own validation.
