The following are the release notes for the scientific experience versions 1.1.x. The scientific experience provides a scientist-first, simplified interface for Tetra that lets bench scientists search, find, and use their data without being overwhelmed by technical configuration details.

What's New

TetraScience has released the general availability (GA) version of the scientific experience, version 1.1.0. This release adds the capabilities scientists most need to search, find, and use their data in Tetra: folder-based browsing, new file version uploads from the file details page, in-column search refinement, and the ability to share and copy static links to both search results and file details pages.

New Functionality

New functionality includes features not previously available in the scientific experience.

• Browse files in a folder structure: Scientists can now view their data within a folder structure, making it easier to locate files by their organizational hierarchy.
• Upload a new file version from the file details page: Scientists can upload a new version of a file directly from the file details page.
• Refine search results within a column or attribute: Scientists can filter search results within a specific column or attribute directly from the search results page to further narrow their results.
• Share and copy links to search results: Scientists can share search results using a static link and copy that static link for reuse—for example, to reference the results from a LIMS or ELN.
• Share and copy links to a file details page: Scientists can share a file details page using a static link and copy that link for reuse—for example, to reference a specific file from a LIMS or ELN.

Enhancements

Enhancements are modifications to existing functionality that improve performance or usability, but don't alter the function or intended use of the system.

The following capabilities, first introduced in the v1.0.0 scientific experience, are carried forward and generally available in this release:

• Simplified home page: Scientists can log in to a simple home page that helps them get oriented without exposing technical configuration details.
• Simplified global search with saved filters and searches: Scientists can search for files in a decluttered view focused on their projects. They can create, save, and reuse filters, and save and rerun searches. Search results omit the IDS file category.
• Scientist-aligned search results and file details view: Scientists can preview files, download files, bulk edit labels, view file history, and delete files from both the search results and file details views. Related attributes and file information are shown alongside results.
• Search results controls: Scientists can sort results and add, remove, and sort columns using easy-to-use controls.
• Simplified Data Apps view: Scientists can see enabled Data Apps appropriate to their access, without details about authorizing apps or namespaces, using simple, relevant filters.
